Zymr Delivers Automated CI/CD Pipeline and Quality Automation Program for a Leading SD-WAN and SIEM MSSP Company

Zymr Inc., a cloud native Agile development company based in Silicon Valley, successfully delivers a Quality Automation program for a leading North American Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) client that provides an all-in-one SD-WAN and SIEM solution to SME clients globally.

The client wanted to reduce their time-to-market and significantly improve the production worthiness by automating the build verification process for their entire family of SD-WAN Product Portfolio.

Zymr strategically worked with the client to build an automated CI/CD pipeline along with the test automation of their end-to-end SD-WAN solution.

Automated CI/CD Pipeline: Zymr closely worked with the client’s engineering team to enhance their Jenkins-based CI/CD pipeline to enable AWS cloud-native Kubernetes and Docker-based deployment of their software in the test, staging, and production environments. We leveraged Gitlab, Nexus, Sonarqube for the CI/CD pipeline.
Quality Automation: Zymr conducted a thorough discovery of the existing quality program with gap-analysis that showed a huge gap in test coverage. We worked to write missing test-cases and then built a Robot-Selenium-based test automation framework.

Load and Performance Testing: Our client’s CPE devices comprise a standard Linux-based switch with specialized SD-WAN software. To perform large-scale load and performance testing, Zymr built an innovative lab comprising Raspberry-Pi devices and network simulator for real-world emulation of a massive enterprise with 1000+ networking devices. This helped in testing their SD-WAN controller, simulating network failures, transitioning to Cellular or Wi-Fi for backup and continuity, and security testing.

Wi-Fi for Backup and Continuity, and Security Testing: Zymr’s automated CI/CD pipeline helped reduce the software build time and improved reliability by the automated deployment of cloud-based multi-tenant SD-WAN controller software in AWS. The bigger win was the new Quality Automation Program that reduced regressions, improved test coverage, and better customer experience by meeting all the SLAs for their SD-WAN features for their enterprise clients.
